Susanne Schwarzer

I grew up in Bavaria and spent my childhood exploring the forest, soaking up nature and observing the farmers who tended the land. Colors were always changing - the seasons brought change, but so too did each day, the light, the mood, the flora were always new and interesting. I loved the faces of the country people and the landscapes that surrounded me. I got my passion for photography from my father, who has immense curisity about the world and always has his camera at the ready to take shots of the life around him. These photographs were taken in Ireland, Peru, Cambodia, Germany, Hawaii, New Mexico, Monterey and San Francisco. They are a study of the yellows, reds and blues seen in those places.
