Valerie Scott

"My art flows through me to my soul. It takes me along on a journey dictating the outcome as I work through my large cavases. It is an ongoing growth experience for me and hopefully the viewer as well. Movement and color captured in a freeze frame."

Hilla Hueber

"Born and raised in Germany, I lived in Munich most of my life before moving to San Francisco in 1997 to work in the fast-paced online world. I have taken up studying drawing and painting to stay grounded, find focus, and as an outlet for my creativity that had been suppressed for far too long. Now most of my free hours are spent painting in the studio and I am hoping to transition to painting full-time in the near future."

Angela Oswald

"Angela began painting in high school much as a journal entry, a place to release the fervor of young years that occurs in all of us when struggling to adapt in a seemingly nonsensical world. Having spent her early years beside the ocean furnished her love for the element that most all of life relies on, water. Her work is a blend of organic derived shapes and surreal suggestions. She approaches the canvas as both a personal and public place to reflect, comment, and dream. After finishing her Undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Communication she began taking courses in Visual Arts at the University of California Berkeley. Today, she paints from memories and imagination inspired by the outside natural world. The draw towards other human beings, our natural environment and aesthetics perception lends her to paint in brilliant colors playing with gestural lines and motion."

Katia Claude

"My work attempts to translate an aesthetic experience borne from an observation of the natural world or from memory. This act of transposition is to bring nature indoors by use of canvas as a pretext. Living in an urban environment, I have only felt an even greater need to portray nature poetically. In a word, to create an anthology, a universe alive yet soothing."

Katerina Connearney

"The mood and atmosphere of a piece of work translates differently for every viewer. The human being can be beautiful and ugly in varying degrees, inside and out, often at the same time. The same piece can evoke very different emotions in different people – why is that? My interest in studies of the human figure is where it takes people when they look at them. Their interest is often why."
